Track season about to start

Track parents-

1. We are a few days away from the start of the season. Practice starts next week, on either Monday, March 31 or Tuesday, April 1, depending on whether you are in a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday group.  If you haven't chosen your training group yet, please do so on the Google doc (link on the website). Please keep in mind that for the elementary kids we need folks to stay in their training groups and not mix and match. This is important for our elementary coaches who are introducing this sport to our youngest kids.

2. Please enter your telephone numbers onto TeamSnap.  It would be great if we had two cell phone numbers for parents/guardians of each kid.  In the unlikely event we need to get in touch with you right away due to an injury, this information is critical.

3. If you haven't already, please create your athletic.net account and enter the team code.  The link to the instructions on how to set up the account and the team code are on the Info Sheet on the longmeadowtrack.org website.  There are also links to videos explaining how to use athletic.net, including how to sign up for meets. Athletic.net will be how you register for our Saturday meets.  If you don't sign up beforehand through athletic.net, your child can run at the meet, but we won't be able to record their results.

4. Speaking of the website, longmeadowtrack.org, it has everything you need.  There is an “Info. Sheet" on the website with information about the program.  You will also find the season calendar, the practice schedule, and coaching assignments. If you have a question, there is a nearly 100% chance that the information you need will be there, including prior emails that have been sent to the program. Please go there first and if you still have a question, go ahead and email me.

5. The March 18 parent informational meeting was recorded--link to the meeting is on the website.
