Track parents and guardians-
We had a great first meet of the season yesterday. The results are published on athletic.net, which will keep track of your child's performances and personal records this season and in seasons to come. The results, with the team scores and top individual scorers, are published on the website, longmeadowtrack.org, under "Results.”.
This week we have a change to our normal practice schedule. Because of a Longmeadow High School meet, Wednesday’s practice will be at Blueberry Hill Elementary School. This is noted on the season calendar on the longmeadowtrack.org website.
Registration is open on athletic.net for Saturday’s April 12 meet. There are two different meet registrations–one for the middle school meet vs Amherst Middle School, and one for the “Longmeadow ELEMENTARY youth track meet.” Please take care to register for the right meet. The Elementary meet will take place as usual, starting at 8:30, with the Grades 1-3 kids followed by the Grades 4-5 kids. Because the middle school part of the meet will take longer than usual because Amherst will be there, we are limiting the Elementary athletes to two total events. The middle schoolers can participate in up to four events. After April break, we expect that all athletes will be able to do up to four events at our Saturday morning meets.
Finally, Longmeadow Youth Track and Cross Country has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/longmeadowtrack Follow our page and post all your favorite photos and stories about the season.
